RED CR

American Red Cedar/ Indian Rosewood
Price from   2.895 €

RED Series guitars are made for the most discerning musicians – they are crafted from high-grade premium tonewoods using state-of-the-art construction technologies, including soundboard and back voicing. With a host of exclusive appointments, RED Series guitars are luxurious musical jewels. RED CR models are made from American red cedar and Indian rosewood. This combination produces a beautifully balanced sound with pronounced mids.

The RED Series is the top line of our solid-wood guitars, where no expense is spared in an effort to use the very finest materials and components. RED CR models are made from master grade tonewoods – the soundboard features American red cedar and the back and sides are made from Indian rosewood. This combination lends RED CR guitars a beautifully balanced timbre that is, thanks to the cedar top, warmer and rounder than the sound of spruce top guitars. RED CR guitars have Indian rosewood binding with a thin ivory contrasting line that contrasts with the master-grade rosewood back to create a dark, but very transparent appearance. The versatile balanced sound and exclusive appearance underline the luxurious nature of RED CR instruments.

More about body shape dimensions

Unique voicing process

The premium nature of Furch RED CR guitars is underscored by the fact that both the soundboard and the back plate are tuned using the voicing process, our proprietary technology that enhances the guitar's tonal properties to the highest level. Thanks to that, Furch RED CR guitars have a crystalline clear, harmonically rich, balanced, and highly dynamic sound across the entire tonal spectrum.

Exceptional finish

Furch RED CR guitars are protected by our proprietary Full-Pore High-Gloss Finish, which has been developed to enhance the guitar's tonal qualities. The finish consists of an ultrathin layer of highly resistant lacquer that provides excellent surface protection and accentuates the structure of the wood at the same time.

Attractive look

The attractive look of Furch RED CR guitars is underscored by body, headstock, and fingerboard binding made from Indian rosewood with a white contrasting line, and a top adorned by padauk purfling with a black and white line.

Rosette made of rosewood

The soundhole is adorned by a rosette featuring a bold Indian rosewood ring with a contrasting black and white line.

Transparent protection

The soundboard of RED CR guitars is protected by a transparent pickguard that allows the natural beauty of the wood to shine through. The pickguard is designed to have no effect on the tonal qualities of the soundboard.

Furch CNR System Neck Design

A high precision dual-action truss rod maintains neck stability and allows fine adjustments of the neck relief in both directions. The truss rod is installed in a carbon casing filled with silicone to prevent undesirable vibrations and to ensure smooth action.

  1. A fully adjustable dual-action truss rod for highly precise adjustment of the neck bow in both the convex and concave directions.
  2. A highly rigid carbon casing that maintains the neck in the set position over a period much longer than is the case with standard neck joint designs and, at the same time, facilitates a gradual bow in the neck, a factor of essential importance for playability.
  3. A casting made of special alloy located inside the neck heel that ensures a stable position of the neck and its angle vis-à-vis the body.

Pearl position markers

White pearl side linear position markers improve fingerboard orientation and enhance the guitar's exclusive appearance.

Excellent machine heads

Furch RED CR guitars have an excellent tuning stability courtesy of Gotoh Silver Patina machine heads with polished ebony buttons and a highly precise 1:21 gear ratio.

High-rigidity Hiscox case

Maximum protection during transport is provided by a high-rigidity Hiscox case with polyurethane insulating foam that shields the instrument from changes in external climatic conditions.
